Tips For New Cannabis Growers
Learning how to grow cannabis is one of the most rewarding hobbies you can have. Growing your own buds will ensure a reliable, safe supply of top-shelf cannabis. Think about it, growing your own can give you an almost unlimited edible, smoking, and vaping,
Growing cannabis can be intimidating to new growers. There are so many different strains to grow, many different mediums, under a massive range of lighting. All of this information can be over complex, an unnecessary to new growers. Keep it simple, and learn as you progress.
Here are 5 tips for new growers, that are simple to follow, and will improve the quality of your final product massively.
1: Choosing your medium wisely!
As a new grower, you should keep things simple. Growing in soil, or a medium known as ” coco” will be your best options.
If you are able to spend time with your plants everyday, coco is the best medium for new growers. The initial set up will be slightly more expensive, but you will have a lot of control over what your plants eat. You will need a PH and EC meter to monitor your nutrient intake, and your plants will need to be fed everyday.
If you have less time, and would like to spend less on initial set up, then soil is a good options. Soil has plenty of nutrients in it, and will only need to be watered, 2 or 3 times a week. Because it has nutrients in the medium, no extra food will be needed for you plant, for the first 3-4 weeks.
2: Buy the best genetics!
With so much choice today, it can be difficult to find the best seed bank for cannabis seeds. Buying the right genetics is 50% of the battle towards having the best weed. Do not skip on buying seeds.

3: Buy Cheap, Buy Twice
Though you can begin to grow cannabis on a low budget, to get the best weed, you have to invest in the right equipment. You need good, reliable, equipment you know will not fail.
This is especially important in lighting, Carbon Filters, and PH & EC meters. You need to buy good brand for your PH an EC meters, as these reading need to be accurate. Buying both PH and EC meter should cost you no more than $150, for a good brand such as Essentials, or Apera.
A good Carbon Filter is vital for security! Extracting your air through a carbon filter will remove the smell from it. Only 2 brand lead the market in Carbon Filters, that is “Mountain Air” and ” Rhino”. Security is important, only buy from a trusted brand!
Decide on a budget, and buy what you can. If you’re a smoker still buying weed, then money may be low. But after your first crop, you can use the money you save to buy better equipment.
4: Go easy on the food.
A common occurrence I see around weed forums is over fed plants. People are under the assumption, that more food, equals bigger plants, but in fact, the opposite is true.
If you feed your plant too much, it will experience nutrient excess problems, and in worst cases suffer ” Lock out”. This is where the plant stop eating all together, as the roots are blocked by salts. This will cause Plant Problems
